The University was founded in 1958 and is the second largest university in the State of Victoria. It is a public research university located in Melbourne, Australia. The university has 4 of its campuses in Victoria and one in Malaysia. The university has a research and teaching centre in Prato, Italy, a graduate research school in Mumbai, India and a graduate school in Suzhou city of China. Monash University’s total revenue reached over AU$ 2.2 billion with an external research income of $282 million in the year 2016. It enrolled more than 50,000 undergraduate and over 22,000 graduate students in different courses in the same year. It receives the most applications than any other university in the state of Victoria.

Royal Australasian College of Physicians

The RACP or the Royal Australasian College of Physicians is a non- profit professional body which is responsible for education and training and representation of 17,000 physicians and paediatricians, 8000 trainees in 33 medical specialities in Australia and New Zealand. These specialities include

The college publishes two medical journals namely- The Internal Medicine Journal and The Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health. It has a foundation providing funding for research in the field of internal medicine. The college has the responsibility for the ongoing education of the college fellows and the trainee education.

It was till 1930 that the Australian and the New Zealand physicians had to seek for membership from one of the UK Colleges in London, Glassgow, Ireland or Edinburgh.  Late in November 1930, these physicians decided to meet in Melbourne and founded the Association of Physicians of Australasia which solely consisted of its members and had no building or permanent base. It was later discussed and decided that an examining body must me formed for the enhancement of the prestige of profession and stimulate interest in medical education and research, also to set a standard professional ethical conduct. Hence, this was formed in 1934 on the model of College of London.  In 1937, the association purchased premises at Macquarie Street in Sydney. Funds were raised with the support of NSW Government and the public. The college was incorporated in 1938 and the first official meeting was held. 47 students took their examinations in September in the same year and 41 members were admitted.

St. Marys school of Medicine, Cook Islands

St. Mary’s School of Medicine is a government college in Cook Island, fully accredited by the government. Flinders University

Established in 1966, Flinders University is a public university located in Adelaide, South Australia. It got its name in honour of British navigator Matthew Flinders. Matthew Flinders explored and surveyed the coastline of South Australia in the early 19th century. Flinders University is a member of Innovative Research Universities group and a verdant university (an informal group of Australian universities). The university is the pioneer to initiate in the cross disciplinary approach of education. The academics of the university are so well known that the university maintains to stand among the nation’s top 10 universities and faculties in the field of medicine and humanities.

The university also ranked among the top 500 institutions globally in the Academic Ranking of World universities. Times Higher Education ranks the university in the bracket of 251-300th among World’s top universities in its list of 2019.

Late in the 1950’s, the University of Adelaide’s North campus had almost reached it s full capacity. Premier Thomas Playford (the then politician), in 1960 announced that approximately 150 hectares of government owned land in Burbank is ready to be allocated to the University of Adelaide for building its second campus. The planning began in the year 1961. The economist and the reformed Peter Karmel was adamant on the independent operation of the North Terrace Campus. He had hoped that Bedford Park campus would operate independently and would be free for innovation and all sorts of tradition. The Australian Universities Commission granted a fund of ?3.8 million in 1962 and the capital works began. The new university was constructed with future expansions that could accommodate upto 6,000 students.

The university’s main campus is located in Bedford Park in Adelaide which is about 12km  south of the Adelaide city centre. The university also has its study centers in Victoria square in thecity centre and in Tonsley. International students contribute to approximately 10% of the campus strength. The university has maintained a number of external facilities in South Australia, West Victoria and the Northen territory. A large number of offshore programs are offered in the university.

The university has more than 160 undergraduate and postgraduate programs to offer apart from the higher degree research supervision in all disciplines. Cost of Living in Australia

A sound proof of financial support detail is a mandatory requirement demanded by the The Department of Home Affairs of the Australian Government.
